According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary the term ‘strange’ is referred to an unusual or surprising occurrence or something that is difficult to understand or explain. It can also refer to something that is not previously visited, seen, or encountered; unfamiliar or alien.

Throughout history the term ‘strange’ was used to describe various occurrences, from socially unaccepted behavior to the natural phenomena for which people had no logical explanation at the time.

The contemporary use of the term is wide and often used to describe something that is different, in any way, from the preset norm. What we perceive as strange today may change in the near future. The norms are constantly evolving and the thing that was considered to be strange ten years ago may be perfectly accepted in today`s society.
