Do you want to know the story of the people behind the statistics? At the moment, there are one million Syrian refugees in the small country of Lebanon, with more around the world.

And while some people look only at the statistics, director Robert Mentov wanted to look further into the problem. How are they living? How are they making through the day?

Collaborating with an NGO in Lebanon, Mentov produces a movie that captures the lives of the Syrian refugees. Workers in Lebanon act as interviewers, as they ask the refugees what are their biggest fears, their hopes and dreams.

As usual, the fear of coming back to Syria is at the top of the list, but there are other fears that for outsiders look abnormal.

“Trapped in transition” is perfect name for the situation in which Syrian refugees are facing, not just for the short movie. They have no choice. They cannot go back to Syria, where war will almost surely take their live, and they cannot go to the Western World, where due to the terrorist attacks, governments are more than careful to give them asylum.
