The Venus Project, Founded by Jacque Fresco, proposes an alternative vision of what the future can be. According to the Project, we as humans are mostly responsible for what we will make of it. And the greatest resource that is available today is our own ingenuity.
The goal of the project is to propose a feasible plan of action for social change, one that is aimed at a sustainable new world civilization. The project thinks of war, poverty, hunger, and debt as unnecessary human sufferings.
According to the project, in the future, human rights are no longer paper proclamations, but a way of life. Fresco, the founder of the Project, has wrote and lectured on his views on sustainable cities, energy efficiency, natural-resource management, automation, role of science in society, and cybernetic technology for years.
This documentary explains some of the theories he proposes for a new way of life.
