The London Bridge is the symbol of London. Recognizable to visitors from all over the world, the London Bridge has existed in one form or another for nearly 2,000 years by now. It is the site of the oldest crossing of the River Thames on record.
But it is not the only bridge in London. In fact, the England capital has 35 rivers in total which cross over the river in the city. Wherever you are along the Thames, you are guaranteed to be close to at least one bridge.
And the oldest surviving one is The Richmond Bridge. It was actually the eight bridge to be built in London, but it is the oldest surviving one. And the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge is the longest one, crossing the Thames as part of the Dartford crossing to the east of the city.
