Pantanal is the largest wetland on the planet, located in the heart of Brazil. Located in the South of the Amazon Basin, this nature heaven spreads across the borders of Paraguay and Bolivia.
Thanks to year after year arrival of heavy rains, the Pantanal sees an incredible metamorphosis of the land. It transforms from an astonishing underwater realm inhabited by aquatic creatures, to a land.
Two Brazilian wild life cinematographers embark on a journey to film how these creatures survive the challenge of living in an ever-changing environment.
It dries every year and then floods again. Life in the Pantanal is ruled by a merciless cycle of inundation and desiccation. It forces the animals to adapt to constant changes to their habitat.
And the jaguar is a species that thrives there. You will be surprised how this animal, mostly known for his dessert and savannah life, thrives in a wetland.
The large field species can reach a maximum of 80kmh, making him the fastest member of Pantanal.
