Quantum computers perform calculations based on the probability of an object’s state before it is measured, instead of just 1s or 0s. They have the potential to process exponentially more data compared to classical computers.

During the MIT Venture Capital and Innovation Conference, Dario Gil, VP of Science and Solutions at IBM, tries to explain how quantum computing works.

We are moving rapidly toward quantum computing. We have yet to build a full quantum computer. We only have working machines that perform small part of what a full quantum computer may eventually do.
