We talk it all the time. Nowadays, big oil companies rule the world. We even use the term “Seven Sisters”. It is a term for the seven transnational oil companies which dominated the global petroleum industry form the mid-1940s to the mid-1970s.

Together, these seven companies control almost one-third of the world’s oil and gas production and more than one-third of the total oil and gas reserves in the world. They are all overwhelmingly state-owned.

But that was not always the case. This documentary takes you through a history lesson. And you will see how oil slowly conquered the world. Nowadays, many wars are because of oil. It is one of the most important commodities in the world.
