Christians and Catholics will tell you God is everywhere around us. He loves us all, he cares for us all. But does he care for places on earth that look forgotten?

The documentary “God Loves Uganda” is a documentary exploring the role of the American evangelical movement in Uganda, the “Pearl of Africa”. The documentary focuses on missionaries that have been credited with creating schools and hospitals. However, they are also accused for promoting dangerous religious bigotry.

Uganda is a fertile territory for American evangelicals, and the documentary explores the connection between North America and Uganda.

Missionaries are coming to Uganda to spread the word of God and preach the gospel. The plot is the same as the one of the Broadway hit musical “The Book of Mormon”. However, the documentary shows a very real situation taking place in Uganda.
