"After the achievement of Charlie Brooker’s Screenwipe, BBC Four has commissioned Zeppotron to produce a brand new series – Charlie Brooker’s Newswipe.

The aim of Charlie Brooker’s Newswipe is to unmask the internal mechanism of news media, just as Screenwipe does to TV in general. The program is funny, thoughtful and rough digest of recent news show events.

Newswipe looks at the brilliant or preposterous way the news is presented to us. Besides, there are also experts on hand to apart particular reports and examine the news media’s fixations.

Charlie Brooker remarks: This is novel terrain for me: I’m no contemporary affairs specialist. Just like, I am suspicious of, countless individuals, when I tune into the news I frequently have the impression I’ve meandered into episode 389 of the earth’s most complicated soap opera.
