The period between 1930s and the 1940s is referred by many as “The Golden Age of Hollywood”. The style of the Classical Hollywood cinema was vastly influenced by the Renaissance and its ideas. Resurgence of mankind was the focal point of the Renaissance, and it was the focal point for Classical Hollywood.

Many years have passed since, but we still laugh at the same thing, and that is movie bloopers. Nowadays, movie bloopers represent one of the most sought features of Blu-Ray editions of movies, and rightfully so.

Seeing actors make mistakes on set was always a source for laughter, and while we regard the 1930s and 1940s actors perfect, they made quite few mistakes.

One of the fundamentals of Classic Hollywood is the “invisible style”. The principle of continuity editing meant that the camera and the sound recording were secondary, they should never call attention to themselves. The stage was left to the actors, and they were free to do their magic.

The documentary featuring scenes from classic movies includes scenes from Greta Garbo, Judy Garland, Joan Crawford, Jean Harlow, Clark Gable, James Stewart, Grace Kelly, Gene Kelly, John Wayne, Audrey Hepburn, Ginger Rogers, Buster Keaton and many more. Enjoy.
