"Modern Masters is a four- part TV series describing the lifetime and accomplishments of four goliaths of 20th century art: Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dali and Andy Warhol.

Throughout the sequence of the sequence, announcer and reporter, Alastair Sooke, investigates why these artistes are deemed so significant and scrutinizes how their effect can still be appreciated in our world currently.

He originates with Andy Warhol, the king of Pop Art. On his voyage he celebrates with Dennis Hopper, has an skirmish with Carla Bruni and encounter with Marilyn. Alongside the way he discovers just how dazzlingly Andy Warhol pinned down and depicted our fascinations with consumerism, fame and the mass media, and then set off on to re-invent them.

Correspondent Alastair Sooke goes out to ascertain just how far the artiste Henri Matisse has inspired our contemporary lives. Sooke give details why Matisse’s fine art is deemed to be so impressive and likewise observes in what way Matisse’s magnificent usage of pigment and interpretation of shape remains to enthuse illustrators, stylists and obviously illustrators nowadays.

The natural life of Pablo Picasso is a stimulating account of agitation, treasures, ladies and fantastic skill. In this section, reporter Alastair Sooke journeys through France, Spain and the US to go to see several of the painter’s eminent creations and narrate accounts from his life tale.

Salvador Dali was fine art’s supreme clown, however he was as well one of its grand brains? Sooke outlines the life and effort of the fashionable surrealist artiste, voyaging all over Europe and America. Since his geneses in turn-of-the-century Spain, to his high jinx in New York in the 1970s, Sook exposes this artist’s captivating life tale and clarifies the rationale in the wake of and impression of his most famed efforts."
