The Wu Tang Clan is an American hip hop group formed in 1992. Originally, it featured RZA, GZA, Ol’ Dirty Bastard, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, U-God, Masta Killa, and Inspectah Deck.
When it was brought together, it featured producers and rappers in their early twenties. They build a mega group which at one point consisted of more than 10 members. Over the years, they have sold more than 40 million records, including individual members album sales and group sales.
Wu Tang completely changed the hip hop scene in the 1990s. But how they managed to do that? It was all thanks to RZA, who had a five-year plan. His plan was also a secret. Nobody knew exactly what was he signing for.
RZA told the rappers “I want all of you to get on this bus, and be the passengers. And I am the driver. And nobody can ask me where we going. I am taking us to the No.1 Give me five years, and I promise that we will get there”. And of course, it worked.
