Why should you read Tolstoy's "War and Peace"?

Leo Tolstoy is one of the best authors and novelists of all times. And his piece War and Peace is among the classics you should definitely read.

The book might be long, and lengthy, but it is definitely worth the read. The book represents an entertaining view on history of Russia. Coupled with some of the deepest and most realistic characters in literature, War and Peace is a truly a masterpiece.

Some Russian experts might prefer Brothers Karamazov by Dostoyevsky, but War and Peace is right there in terms of immortal pieces. Every time you read it, you will learn and notice something on a deeper level. Tolstoy is a master of writing characters and show their search for truth and happiness.

The plot of the book is centered around prosperity, goals, personality, expectations, reality, death, and functioning in society.

Some might say that the English translation does not serve the original name well, since the original title is “Vojna i Mir”. The word “mir” can mean two things, “peace” and “world”. There is nothing about “peace” in the book, but since the first iteration, the name “War and Peace” has stayed.
