"‘Why Beauty Matters’ is a thoughtful film presented by Philosopher Roger Scruton, wherein he laments on the degradation caused in our lives by art, architecture and music being made devoid of beauty in the 20th century forcing us into a spiritual desert.

Roger analyses what went wrong win the world of art and beauty using the thoughts of philosophers from Plato to Kant, and by talking to artists Michael Craig-Martin and Alexander Stoddart, reinforcing the importance of beauty in art and beauty in out lives to retore mankind to their traditional position."
