WWII lasted from 1939 to 1945. It involved the vast majority of the world’s countries, including all of the great powers.
The greatest countries in the world formed two opposing military alliances, the Allies and the Axis powers.
In the beginning of the War, the Axis powers had major success, with Adolf Hitler and Nazi Germany spreading their influence.
But then came a turning point, and the Allies changed the course of the war. Some would say that happened the moment the United States officially entered the war.
This documentary takes a look at some of the most important battles during World War 2. Those include invasion of France, Battle of Kursk, Iwo Jima, Siege of Tobruk, Operation Crusader, Operation Barbarossa, the Arakan Offensive, Rommel’s Offensives, and many more.
