He was born with amniotic band syndrome, which affected his left hand, causing his fingers not to fully develop. When he was four years old, his mother found him in the kitchen with a butcher’s knife, trying to self-amputate his fingers due to pain. The next day, his parents scheduled an amputation.
Even though he had his arm amputated when he was just four years old, he continued to play sports without his left hand. He competed in track, baseball, and football alongside his twin brother Shaquill.
