People do amazing things on a daily basis. Some of us want to inspire through our actions, others want to motivate, and some just do things for the sake of doing things.
Ed Wade-Martins is all of those things. A teacher and a musician, he embarked on a journey to cycle from United Kingdom to Mali, all in a goal to help orphans and other vulnerable children in Gambia.
His bike ride was a way to raise funds for the Fresh Start Foundation. In addition, he is on a mission to bridge cultures, all through one universal language. And that is music. While not all of us understand the lyrics in different languages, we all understand the notes and the music itself.
And while he has never cycled very far before, Ed was determined to finish the journey. His journey took him 6,000 miles through eight countries, two continents, the Atlas Mountains, and the Sahara Desert.
