Well, sadly, these fiction superpowers are exactly that, fiction. Now, we do not want to criticize comic book movies and characters. Instead, this video tries to explain why super strength is not something you might really have.
It is all about the concept of pressure. Catching a falling person can never work due to impulse. In physics, impulse is what is needed to change in momentum. It is the product of the force and the time in which the force is applied. In other words, time and force are inversely proportional.
The video explains it thoroughly, but basically, a woman falling from a tall building would have momentum associated with her downwards movement. And you have to apply an impulse to stop her fall, and catching would not be different from falling on the concrete because of the sudden stop.
