Marino Morikawa is a special person. He used his PhD degree to clean his childhood lake. When he came back to the Cascajo wetlands in 2010, his father told him that they were contaminated and that they were about to be capped.
At the time, Marino worked at the Tsukuba University laboratories in Japan. But he decided to fly back to Peru to see the lake with his own eyes.
And that is where the magic happened. Once he saw his childhood memory ruined, he decided to use his knowledge about nano technology to clean the lake. This short documentary explains just how he did it.
