Antonio Gaudi is widely considered one of the most genius architects in history. The entire city of Barcelona is like one big museum of his work.
But the most magnificent and majestic work is the Sagrada Familia. The Basilica Sagrada Familia is a large and unfinished Roman Catholic church located in Barcelona. There are no words that can describe the church. So many elements have been put into the work. Gaudi’s vision for the Church remains, even though the architect died in 1926.
Nobody knows for sure which year the Sagrada Familia will be finished. However, the plan is for the construction to finish in 2026, to coincide with the 100 year anniversary of Gaudi’s death.
The basilica is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
