East versus West

The next century

The next century Historically looking Asians and Islamic countries have been regarded as East, while on the Western side were United States of America, Europe, Australia, Canada and New Zealand. The whole the East versus the West dichotomy is about cultural differences. For Islamic countries no matter where they are located they are considered Eastern. But for example Bosnia and Herzegovina’s citizens can choose how to identify whether Eastern or Western, because of their cultural diversity.

In the 1920s a Japanese sinologist wanted to unify with China and some other Asian nations, to form the New East. Japan was into this idea and continued working on it during World War II, while China started with that idea during the Cold War in 1957, when Mao Zedong said “This is a war between two worlds”. In the 1940s a sociologist Frank Furedi wrote “The already existing intellectual assessment of European nationalism adapted to the growth of the Third World variety by developing the couplet of mature Western versus immature Eastern nationalism”. This was accepted in the Western political theories. For centuries now Western nations used translation as a tool for cultural genocide.

After the World War II, a political and military tension started between Western Bloc or the Capitalist Bloc and the Eastern Bloc or the Communist Bloc and Soviet Bloc, this was named the Cold War. The name Cold War was given because there were no large fights between the two sides. There was a third neutral bloc who rejected to join any of the two sides, they were called the Non-Aligned. It was formed in Egypt, Indonesia, India and Yugoslavia.

It all started two years after World War II, when the United States started the global containment to provoke the Soviets, by aiding countries in Western Europe and supporting the anti-Communists. In that time the Soviets took control over the countries of the Eastern Bloc. The US created the NATO alliance, to challenge the Soviet power. The Cold War lasted from 1947 to 1991, whit tons of political conflicts and Civil Wars, also with the risk of a Nuclear War outbreak. When the Soviet Union collapsed, a number of conflicts happened across Asia, Europe, and Africa also in the post Soviet countries, this was called the Frozen conflicts.

The Cold War got resurrected in the last few months, during the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, they made an agreement by settling down the fire power for now, but it’s still a fragile agreement. There are still conflicts all over West and East but only subtly, there are no real information’s what is actually happening. Any media or political hype referencing the Cold War is a distraction from our attention. Today in this world the prevalent politically, economically, and militarily, it's bound to result in a confrontation where there will be no winners, only loses to humanity. The only, innocence here is that of the citizens of the world.

The world is locked, loaded and ready to fire, reason is rapidly giving way to choosing up sides and if we continue down this path, nothing good can come from it.
