Aconcagua is a mountain in the Principal Cordillera of the Andes mountain range. Located in Mendoza Province, Argentina, it is the highest mountain peak in South America, and the highest outside Asia.

And climbing Aconcagua is not a cheap operation. The climbing permit alone costs at least $1,000, depending on route and time of year. Then there are mountain logistics costs, gear, guides, and many more.
