The Unspoken Reality Behind the Harvard Gates | Alex Chang

Alex Chang is the founder and CEO of Ivy-Way Academy, CTO of a tech startup on skincare, a dance teacher, and a hacker.

He is also one of the few people who openly talk about what universities appreciate when it comes to your application. He was not exactly an Ivy League material in high school. He did not finish top 5 in his public high school in New York, nor did he get a near-perfect SAT score.

Alex did not win any national honors in math, he was not on the lacrosse team, he did not have rich and famous parents, and similar Ivy League credentials. So, how did he manage to get into Harvard, and finish?

After getting a BA from Harvard and finishing his education at the Harvard Graduate School in Education, he serves as a role model for students who want to reach their dream school.

In his TED talk, Alex shares his secrets to Ivy League admission. But he also warns about the life behind the Ivy League Gates. Things are not always pretty as they seem on the outside.
