The Lost Gods

Is there a God? It’s an eternal question that all ancient civilizations have responded. Not one God, but with hundreds of them. Bring them to life on earth, these civilizations fashion images in wood, paint and stone. And they built spectacular home shrines.

So what happened to these gods? Do away with powerful beliefs right? Can God die? Are these sacred sites, once the final resting places long lost religion? And how can people who believe in many gods for so long come to believe in a single sweep and the other to extinction?
