Just imagine how much the world has changed in the past 300 years. The first industrial revolution started in 1712 when Thomas Newcomen invented the first productive steam engine. Some 300 years later, and we are talking about complete digitalization.

Some call it the Fourth Industrial Revolution, others Industry 4.0. But whatever you call it, the fact of the matter is that it is almost here. It is a combination of cyber-physical systems, the Internet of Things, and the Internet of Systems.

The Fourth Industry Revolution is the name we use for the current trend of automation and data exchange in manufacturing technologies.

At the moment, we stand on the brink of a technological revolution that will fundamentally alter the way we live and work. It is already here, but we are close to pushing it to the edge. Here is how our life might change.
