Tamera - Taste of a New Culture

  • Published 3 years ago

Tamera is a peace-project where around 200 people live, research, and manifest a New Culture. Their culture is based on cooperation with each other and nature.

The peace research village has a goal of becoming a self-sufficient, sustainable, and duplicable communitarian model for nonviolent cooperation and cohabitation between humans, animals, and nature.

The village was founded in 1995 by three Germans, Dieter Duhm, Sabine Lichtenfels, and Rainer Ehrenpreis. They are a psychoanalysis specialist, theologian, and a specialist in physics. These three left their profession in 1978 and tried to create a research center to find solutions to the ecological and technological problems the world is facing.

At the moment, 250 coworkers and students, including children, live and study in Tamera. The village also serves as a free lab and an international meeting place. Peace workers and specialists from different parts of the world can meet and share their expertise.
