The award-winning Survivorman follows outdoor enthusiast and survival expert Les Stroud is abandoned for a week in a remote location with no supplies – no food, no water, and does not match any.

Have been abandoned in the middle of nowhere they must document their experience with single camera platform from a single person and 50 pounds of camera equipment.

Each new location presents a new set of obstacles for Les with such diverse climates as the rain forest of Costa Rica to the Arctic ice floes.

Les Stroud shows you the basics of wilderness survival in a variety of different situations. While it may not cover all possible scenarios (which adheres very well to what is), Les shows at least one way to start a fire in each a different custom (ie, every episode) and cover the main risks facing given the time of year and location.

If you are an outdoor enthusiast as it contains a lot of entertainment. However, a student of survival in nature can truly appreciate everything that makes Survivorman.
