The Saudi Arabia is considered one of the wealthiest in the world. They control most of the oil business in the world, which is the reason for their wealth. In 2015, Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal was ranked as the 34th richest man in the world. His treasure was estimated at $28 billion.

But, as the saying goes, everything comes with a price. And for the Saudi Arabia royal family, that price is in the form of the “curse of oil wealth”.

The problems started long before 9/11, but the incident only amplified the public damage that Saudi Arabia had to withstand. After the 9/11 attack, investigation revealed that many of the terrorists responsible for the attack were Saudi Arabia citizens.

The curse started long before, even at the beginning of the 20th century. After the World War I, even with all their wealth, Saudi Arabia was unable to get medical supplies to its capital, Riyadh.

The documentary takes a look at the history of the Arab countries, their rise to power, and the obstacles along the road.
