In a small, 2 meter area of rocks, ravaged by continual waves on the Spanish coast, lies the perfect combination of oxygen and water for the Goose Barnacle to grow. In Spain and Portugal, these barnacles are an expensive and sought after delicacy known as percebes.
Serxo is a man who harvests these barnacles to help make money for his family. Tied to the rocks to keep from being pulled out to sea, he risks his life daily to get as many as he can.
This short documentary shows how he does it, and why.
