If you like Survivorman (Les Stroud) you like extreme survival. It is a survival television series presented by Ray Mears, he shows his skills desert and amazing tales of survival actions of some of the world’s most threatened environments.

His travels have taken him to remote corners of the earth, encountering indigenous peoples who embody his philosophy and live in harmony with their natural surroundings.

Forests can be daunting places for the uninitiated. Ray explains the basic survival skills in the jungle and tells the harrowing story of 10 men who escaped World War II prisoner of war camp, crossing the dense jungle, without the benefit of survival training.

The Arctic is a beautiful region of our planet, an area where we need to understand the mechanisms of conserving heat. Ray demonstrates survival skills when visiting the Swedish army in Lapland Instructor Course.

The most important thing to take with you on any trip is a positive mental attitude. Ray tells a family shipwrecked on the coast of Alaska in winter, ultimately, their survival depends on their belief in themselves, overcoming odds that textbooks have predicted as impossible.
