The Protocols of Zion is a documentary film directed by Marc Levin. The film released in 2005 talks about a resurgence of anti-Semitism in the United States post September 11, 2001 attacks. The film delves on the book Protocols of Zion which propels anti Semitic emotions.
In this film Levin enters into a a free-for-all dialogue with Arab Americans, Black nationalists, evangelists, White nationalists, Kabbalist rabbis, Holocaust survivors, and Frank Weltner, the founder of Jew Watch web site.
The inspiration for the film came from an encounter Levin had in a New York taxi not long after 9/11. The taxi driver in which Levin was sitting was an Egyptian immigrant made the claim that the Jews had been warned not to go to work at the World Trade Center on the day of the attack. He further stated that he had read about it in the book The Protocols of the Elders of Zion. The book is a 1903 book which claims to reveal the Jews’ master plan to rule the world.
The Times of London in 1921 discredited the book as a hoax. The Protocols apparently had a significant influence on Hitler’s world views and had fuelled hatred, violence, and ultimately genocide attempts part of the Nazi crime.
