When the term “Genetically modified food” or GMO is mentioned, people always assume we are talking about unhealthy food. But the reality is far from that.

Pamela Ronald is a woman studying genes, biology and plants. Her quest is to teach people that engineered food, or genetically modified food can sometimes be good.

One example she shares is Hawaii, where genetically improved seeds saved the papaya crops in the 1950s. As Ronald is saying, GMO food can be modified to withstand and survive floods. And if you ask any agriculture expert, floods are crops and plants biggest enemy. Listen to her sharing her views and defending the case for engineered food.
