When it comes to great conquerors, one has to mention the name of Napoleon Bonaparte. Born in Paris, France in 1769, he is one of the few people who have managed to conquer almost all of Europe. He died in France on May 5th, 1821.

His life might have been short, but definitely worth telling. He began his military career as a commander of the army and leading a campaign in Italy. He had his ups and downs, before coming back to France in 1799. He held a position as First Council by 1800.

When he became emperor in 1804, he immediately began his quest of conquering Europe. He fought nearly every country in Europe. His dream was to conquer Russia. And he nearly managed to do so. He is one of the few emperors that have managed to win Moscow. But he was pushed back by Russian forces, and on his way back to France, he was ambushed by the allied forces of Britain, Austria, and Prussia. He was exiled to Elba island.

But he never gave up, as he won the hearts of people in France in 1815. During the Hundred Days, he was briefly an emperor again. However, he was defeated again by British, and this time he was exiled to St. Helena. He died there in 1821.

This documentary takes a look at his conquests, his style of war, and his strategy that transformed him from a little man to one of the biggest emperors and conquerors in the history of mankind. It was all thanks to his ruthless ambition driving him forward.
