Kurt Cobain is one of the most famous musicians of all time. Best known as the lead vocalist of Nirvana, Cobain helped the group reach the height of popularity.

Cobain was wildly creative and highly acclaimed. He was hailed as one of the most innovative musicians of the 90s. Some of the songs he wrote for Nirvana are still one of their best songs. Those include Smells like Teen Spirit and Come as You Are.

Cobain committed suicide in 1994, but the mysteries surrounding his death are still unanswered. Many believe he chose the year specifically, just so he can join the famed "27 club". The club is informal term for highly popular people that died at the age of 27, including Janis Joplin for example.

The Montage of Heck documentary takes a deep and intimate look at the live of the famed music icon. Directed by Academy Award nominated Brett Morgen, the documentary perfectly paints the portrait of Cobain, blending his personal archive of art, music, and movies.

The documentary features interviews from family and friends of Cobain. Some of them reveal facts and things that die-hard fans of Nirvana never knew. The documentary shows why Cobain is lasting icon even today, years after his demise.
