On June 25th 2010 was the 60th anniversary of the start of an armed conflict that threatened to bring the entire world to a nuclear war. This conflict has traumatized an entire nation so profoundly that it is still the cause for a bitter divide.
This documentary was brought to you by the same people that are behind the extraordinary ‘In-Colour’ genre of documentary films, Adrian Wood and Stewart Binns. This film is presented using the trademark elements of Wood and Binns production, such as powerful imagery in terms of color, highly emotional musical background and a dramatized soundscape.
The original color material, much of it was only recently exposed to the light of day, was transferred directly from the source film to HD. The materials were originally made with the 35mm camera and include, among other things, the access to the North Korean Archives in Pyongyang which is otherwise highly inaccessible.
This documentary gives the viewers a unique insight into the conflict of the East and the West, communism against the liberal democracy and Korean fighting each other in a one of the bloodiest civil wars ever to happen.
