Back in 2007, Apple and Steve Jobs completely changed the world of mobile phones. Apple introduced the first iPhone, the first phone with a touchscreen instead of a regular screen.

Since then, the mobile technology has completely changed. It took some time, but somewhere around the third generation of iPhone, touchscreen became the standard for cell phones.

And that is how the name "smartphone" was born. Nowadays, smartphones are not only the standard, they are basically the only type of phone.

How the touch screen works has always been one of the biggest questions people had. At the time of the first iPhone, the touchscreen was not as responsive as it is today. It took the phone few seconds to react to the touch on the screen.

Nowadays, it takes less than a millisecond for your phone to react. So, the question is how does touchscreen work?
