During World War II, America and Nazi Germany were enemies. But that doesn’t mean that Germany and American companies were enemies.

In fact, some of the biggest companies in America worked with Hitler and his Nazi party. For example, Henry Ford manufactured vehicles for Hitler. James D Mooney, the manager of General Motors, also worked closely with Hitler. Even Thomas Watson, the boss of IBM helped Hitler build his army.

All three of them were awarded the Grand Cross of the German Eagle. That is the highest distinction in Nazi Germany for foreigners that served to the Third Reich.

Some speculations are that Coco Chanel, the French designer, also worked for Hitler. In this documentary, however, we focus only on companies in America that helped Hitler build his army and rise to power.

And there were many companies that recognized that Hitler has money to pay, and that they can profit from the war. You’ll be surprised by some of the names. Some experts even go as far as saying that World War II would not have happened if not for the support of American companies.
