Fingal’s Cave is a Gaelic sea cave located on the island of Staffa in Scotland. The cave has been celebrated by artists, musicians, writers, and much more.
Formed from hexagonally-jointed basalt columns similar to the Giant’s Causeway in Ireland, the Fingal’s Cave was formed from lava flow 60 million years ago. According to Gaelic mythology, a giant constructed a causeway from Ireland to Scotland, all so that another giant could come and fight him.
But once you get pass the legend, you look at an astounding creation that will evoke images of a fantasy world. The cave is a perfect example of nature’ power. The sea cave is 72 feet tall and 270 feet deep.
