‘Cocaine Cowboys’ is a hard-hitting documentary film by Billy Cosben based on the sordid history of drug trafficking in Miami. There are three distinct sections in this film: outlining the basics of cocaine importation and distribution; analyzing the detrimental societal effects of a city awash in illegal cash; and cataloging the runaway violence that accompanies the inevitable drug wars.
It includes the thoughts, opinions and commentary of ostentatious dealers, paid assassins, police detectives and crime reporters.
A major cocaine dealer, Jon Roberts and expert transporter, Mickey Munday are featured in this film and composer Jan Hammer has provided the background score.
